Capital TechSearch is seeking Senior DevOps Architect to join a commercial product team.

  • DevOps - architect, implement and operate CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • 10 years experience administering Linux products, user management/LDAP, virtualized infrastructure via VMware
  • Advanced knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, Cisco UCS, and EMC Storage highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Ability to write code using scripting languages such as shell, PowerShell, AWS CLI
  • Configuration management for servers and technologies using tools such as Puppet, Ansible
  • SEIM and monitoring tools such as Splunk
  • In-depth understanding of distributed systems and multi-tier web applications that is highly available, multi-threaded, and scalable architecture.
  • Knowledge and understanding of full Java stack web application and micro-services architecture.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, engineering, or equivalent
Additional skills are a plus:
  • Experience with Citrix XenDesktop VDI technology and DR tools such as Zerto.
  • Experience with Atlassian Ecosystem - JIRA, Confluence,
  • Experience creating and maintaining metrics to aid in the design, scaling and troubleshooting of hybrid infrastructure.

In this role, you will:
  • Accelerate the transformation from datacenter-centric deployment framework to agile, automated, containerized cloud-native infrastructure and technology processes
  • Implement, secure, scale and troubleshoot a hybrid cloud enabled platform and products.
  • Build scalable, fault-tolerant, and resilient networks for product and operations to meet SLA requirements.
  • Implement DevOps tools and processes to build an enterprise container strategy using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Manage system infrastructure and processes on hybrid infrastructure that is cloud enabled and virtualized
  • Provide day to day management, administration, and troubleshooting of VMware infrastructure and applications and other core enterprise systems, including planning and managing capacity, security, and reliability testing, along with patching of infrastructure systems.
  • Educate and keep product and operations teams informed on the best practice designs, proper implementations, high-performance optimizations, and self-service troubleshooting skills.
  • Implement and monitor the security controls and performance metrics of the network layer, including resiliency checks and failures.
