Business Systems Analyst
The Role:
Manage the business systems lifecycle for a well-established retail goods company with locations around the southern US.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the key point of contact to the business for deployed business systems, including ERP, POS, Business Intelligence, eCommerce, and other platforms
- Analyze business operations and the business's computer systems to identify platforms and applications which optimize business performance
- Make recommendations on the lifecycle and viability of existing business systems and solutions
- Work directly with IT to implement and upgrade network hardware, and software
- Monitor the roll-out of new software applications to ensure smooth transitions and document processes for scalability
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with business application software
- Create and oversee protocols and procedures for the use of any new software applications
- Train employees on the use of any new software applications
- Ensure training and communication are clear and well defined for business continuity
- Monitor and schedule hardware and software upgrades
- Create and maintain business process maps using commercially available process mapping or flow-charting solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or graduate's degree in technology, business process, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience working as an IT specialist or similar role with daily ERP interaction (Ideally NetSuite)
- 3+ years of experience working with Point-of-Sale solutions (ideally Heartland Retail POS)
- Experience with data analysis and exposure to databases and Excel
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
