What You Will Do:

• Lead the design and development of data solutions with a focus on the Python and the AWS ecosystem.
• Understand, analyze, design, and efficiently implement functional requirements to deliver data and visualization solutions primarily oriented toward AWS.
• Writing effective and scalable Python code, testing and test automation, data ingest, data APIs and analytics in the Python ecosystem.
• Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
• Debug data objects to ensure low-latency and high-availability
• Drive standardization, best practice and process enforcement while continuously enhancing delivery efficiency and code/solution reusability.
• Proactively drive automation including CI/CD and undertaking necessary coding required for these objectives
• Work with Cloud platform architects, Data architects and Data Engineers

What You Bring:

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of work experience as Python developer providing webservices
• 5+ years of back end skills: Python, Flask, Django, Plotly, and Relational Databases/RDS
• 2+ years of working with CI/CD tools including Git and Jenkins for ETL and scripts repositories
• 1+ year of Linux/shell scripting and debugging experience
• Familiarity with front-end technologies, such as Drupal, PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Strong demonstrable ownership in troubleshooting, debugging and problem solving skills to deliver quality product and code
• Strong and independent research skills to review, pilot and recommend new technologies and enhance knowledge of the data team
