Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Full Stack Engineer to spearhead one of the agile development teams, working on the modernization of federal government applications. You will play a pivotal role in guiding a high-performance team and driving the implementation of best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise, crafting detailed application designs with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
- Monitor product performance, optimizing and scaling solutions as needed.
- Lead and mentor agile team, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
- Drive the modernization of legacy systems and contribute to large-scale data migration projects.
- Champion modern web development frameworks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with senior project leadership, architects, and fellow lead engineers to achieve project milestones.
- Implement Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, promoting efficient workflows and continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and make recommendations for relevant platforms.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in leading teams, providing technical direction, and mentoring team members.
- 10+ years of full-lifecycle application development experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Node.js, React.js, cloud-native.
- Proficiency in Agile, DevSecOps, and Test Driven Development methodologies.
- Strong experience with API development, serverless application development using AWS Lambda, and messaging (e.g., Kafka, AWS Kinesis).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Track record of successful modernization projects and large-scale data migrations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
